Du minerai de fer, du charbon de bois, ainsi que de l'énergie électrique fournie par la rivière d'Excideuil,naquit au siècle dernier la Fonderie de Saint Médard.

Suivie en 1907 par celle d'Excideuil.

Le précieux savoir-faire traditionnel devait ainsi se perpétuer, tout en se spécialisant dans la reproduction de contre-coeurs anciens, leur conservant leurs émouvantes et naïves particularités.

Au fil des années, la Fonderie Lacoste a ajouté plusieurs activités à sa production et notamment les machines à sertir les boîtes de conserves, les marqueuses et les appareils pour éprouver le serti des boîtes.

Notre histoire nous a forgé une person-nalité, nous incitant à aller plus loin dans l'écoute de nos clients, entreprises, collectivités...

We have a special talent for listening to clients, companies and comminities and can adapt our artefacts to suit any individual wishes.

With the passing of years, the Lacoste Foundry added several activities to its production and in particular the machines to crimp the food tins, stamping machine (for identifying batches) and the seal-testing appliance.

In 1907 another goes foundry was built at Excideuil where the traditional skills were maintained in the reproduction of old firebacks.

Over the years we at Lacoste have built on these precious traditions to preserve their quaint charm and moving links with the past.
